>You wake up in the middle of the night, feeling cold. You had dreamt about a game you played the night before, in which you tried to kill a world eating snake. Yet it was inevitable that you failed on your first attempts, and your dream reflected that.
>It seems like you've partially kicked off your blanket in your sleep.
>You pull it back up and try to get back to sleep.
>You're at the brink of falling asleep again when you hear a noise from downstairs.
>It's faint, but you think you hear footsteps. It's probably just a rat, but you still feel a bit of uncomfortable.
>You're a bit of a scaredy cat, but after a minute of gathering your strength, you climb out of bed.
>In your pajamas you walk downstairs, trying to be as silent as possible.
>The only things you hear as you head downstairs are your own breathing and the mild creaking of the stairs.
>In the hallway you grab a bat you kept solely as a way to fend off intruders in the unlikely event that anyone would break into your house. You're a bit a of a weakling, but tools were what made humanity prosper, so you think it will help if your fears are grounded in reality.
>You slowly walk up to the door, and once you're there you push it open, immediately reaching for the light switch.
>The room lights up, and you take a quick look around. Nothing seems out of the ordinary.
>Realising you were probably just messing with your own head, you sigh and walk to the kitchen, putting down the bat on your way there.
>Now that you're downstairs, you might as well go for a quick snack to help you sleep... Maybe a glass of milk could help.
>You grab the milk carton and close the kitchen door. However, as you close the kitchen door, you could swear you see a flash of colour from your peripheral vision. However, when you look properly, you see nothing but your couch.
>"Strange..."
>You begin to turn around, but before you can you're suddenly grabbed from behind.
>You try to scream, but a hand covers your face. The hand is pressed against your lips with a lot of force, yet the hand itself feels soft. Feminine.
>"Hmph!?"
>"Shhh, it's alright..."
>A stranger's voice. Specifically a woman's.
>You quiet down, despite knowing you're in danger. However, you keep struggling. The arms keeping you in place are not those of your captor: they're hard. They seem to be made of wood even. A robot...?
>"Stop struggling, Anon, or I'll have to quiet you down properly."
>Despite the kind tone, it's still clearly a threat, and you cease quickly. Instead, you whimper a little, now looking down in shame.
>"I've been following you for a while now... Honestly, you're perfect."
>You can finally get a good look in as the young lady moves in front of you.
>Your eyes widen immediately when you see her outfit. Indecent didn't even begin to describe it, considering the skin it showed. This isn't helped by the fact that she has the body of a Greek goddess... Her hair has the colour of dulled gold, yet it still had a beautiful sheen. And while you have never seen her hair style before, you're slightly intrigued by the almost pipe-like curls. However, your focus quickly shifts to her eyes. They were large, calm, and green... You don't know why, but her eyes are captivating. So much so that it's almost scary.
>"Meek... Timid... Antisocial... Quick to retreat in your own shell. Just the kind of boy I want to tease..."
>Ironically proving her point, you subconsciously begin trying to curl up a bit.
>"Perfect... That fear is exactly what I was looking for."
>She finally removes her hand from your mouth, and begins scratching your chin with her index finger.
>Your brain tells you to scream, but no words come out. You just take it, dazed by the surprise.
>"That's right... You'll enjoy it more if you struggle less, trust me."
>Suddenly the machine that grabbed you loosens its grip, and you can move freely again. You reflexively take back a few steps, once more beginning to retreat into your figurative shell a little.
>Once you hit the wall, you start going through your knees, confused by it all.
>In a mere two steps the young lady is right in front of you, looming over you even more than when you were standing upright.
>She extends a hand, and suddenly smiles the most radiant smile you've seen in ages.
>"I am mistress Haruka. Take my hand, and I will take you with me, so that you shall be one of my most beloved pets. I can assure you, I will treat you well. However, I will give you a fair chance to refuse, and I shall leave you to your own devices if you don't accept my offer."
>You shrink into yourself more, greatly confused.
>However, after a minute of her standing there, her hand still outstretched patiently, you extend your own and reach for her.
>She lifts you and begins petting your hair, after which she pats you on the head.
>"I knew you'd want a true direction in your life..."
>You did not have the strength to resist the world eating snake, if you even really wanted to.
